Harun al-Aswad met people receiving treatment in this center after they had been addicted to drugs for decades, even before the outbreak of the Syrian war in 2011.

The center is run by a professional psychiatrist who is displaced from eastern Damascus. He constantly gives awareness seminars to medical workers about the dangers of drugs and how to deal with civilians.
